Databases

• ACM Digital Library: contains fulltext, bibliographic information, abstracts, and reviews for articles published in ACM periodicals & magazines, ACM proceedings & ACM SIG conference proceedings. 
• Business Resources: a CLS website supporting business research at Caltech.  
• CiteSeerX (developed by the NEC Research Institute) indexes "literature freely available on the publicly indexable web" using an innovative tool - Autonomous Citation Indexing (ACI) - to create a citation index.  ResearchIndex analyzes the computer science literature which has not been previously accessible via traditional indexing service providing access to technical reports, conference papers in addition to journal articles, books and chapters in books.
• EI Village Engineering Information Village (includes access to Compendex). Site licensed access to Engineering Index.
• IEEE Xplore, although actually an interface to the 106 IEEE society transactions,
  journals, and magazines, can be used as a database to find material published by the IEEE. Full-text access from 1998 is available to the Caltech community. Tables of contents are provided for IEEE and IEE publications beginning in 1988.
• INSPEC - (via Web of Knowledge). The premier database for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Physics. INSPEC, updated weekly, provides comprehensive coverage of journal articles and conference proceedings. Caltech community can set up "autoalerts" - saved searches which run automatically each time the database is updated.
• MathSciNet: Site-licensed access to Mathematical Reviews.and Current Mathematical Publications
• PubMed - Online access to the National Library of Medicine
• Synthesis - Synthesis Digital Library of Engineering and Computer Science, published by Morgan & Claypool, provides access to lectures on research topics in Engineering and Computer Science
• Web of Science Scientific literature database (online version of the Science Citation Index) containing article references from 1982+; includes cited reference searching and document delivery capabilities; Web of Science also includes access to the Arts & Humanities and Social Science Citation Index databases.
